5 Groups Of Food For Pregnant Women

According to books and to all women I have talked to, pregnancy is a wonderful experience that you should enjoy. This is my first time that’s why I am more into reading pregnancy books and getting right information on what to do and what I shouldn’t do. I am glad that my doctor gave a pregnancy packet that contains a lot of information about pregnancy. I also received another pregnancy packet today from my “Future Moms”, a special program by hubby’s insurance company.

Below are 5 Groups of Food that every pregnant women need to include in every day diet to support the baby’s growth.

1. Grains – 6 ounce per day
2. Vegetables – 2 ½ cups per day
3. Fruits – 2 cups per day
4. Milk Products – 3 cups per day
Proteins – 5 to 5 ½ ounces per day

  1. Oh thanks for sharing this….I’m now pregnant and I have a hard time eating a lot even though there are babies inside of me (babies because my pregnancy is through IVF)
