Something Unbelievable?
Well believe it or not but there's a cemetery under the ocean that you can find in Camiguin Island. As you can see in the picture there a big cross surrounded by water. Below that big cross which is under the water is where you can find the cemetery. It's one of the tourist spot in Camiguin that a lot of foreigners would have visited out of curiosity I guess plus it's so rare to find such.

Green Banana
Green Banana is good when you boil it. There are different ways you can do on your boiled banana. You can make "Nilusak" from it or eat it by dipping in "Bagoong". Hummm just talking about it makes me crave for it. I wouldn't remember I have a green banana in the fridge until I saw this picture on my album. I wrote down a note so I can remember cooking it tomorrow.
Bananas are a good source of Vitamin C, A and minerals. Vitamin C keeps our body tissues strong. It also helps the body use iron and aids chemical actions in the body. While Vitamin A is needed for proper growth and protection from disease.
Banana is also good to eat when you have diarrhea as it contains minerals and nutrients that will really help you.

Fresh Tomatoes
What a pretty and fresh tomato it is from HM. Do you know that tomatoes have a phytochemical compound called Lycopene which have a powerful anticancer properties especially prostate cancer? Well it is, I read it on the health magazine when we visited hubby’s blood doctor few days ago. A lot of people include tomatoes on their diet because aside from lycopene, tomatoes have poor calories that are really good for your diet. It also has a lot of vitamin C and very rich in water which is about more than 90%.

Egg Hunting
Yesterday was the first egg hunting I have ever seen here in the US. It's so much different from the Philippines because usually churches are the one who organized egg hunting. They just hide a plain boiled egg around the big plaza and let kids hunt for it. While here in the US, almost every home would do egg hunt. They color and decorate boiled eggs and also buy different plastic eggs and with candies and chocolates inside. And not only that, they also give money to each kids.

Safety Label
Labels are very important in selling any kinds of product. As you've noticed when you go to any groceries and other department stores, most of the customers would look at the label because labels contain important information about the product such as name, brand, nutrition facts and ingredients. That’s why most business invest more money on Safety Label for their product as it a simple way to attract customers attentions.

Trusted Tours & Attractions
Few nights ago, my husband and I were talking about the possible vacation where we can go. He suggested some beautiful places he had been before when he was a kid. His parents used to bring him around US for vacations. Now he said that it’s about time for him to do the same thing for me. He wants to bring me to those places where he had great, fun and crazy trips with his parents. But this time, it will be only him and me alone.
And since we are living here in Texas, we both decided to start our dream tours first here around US. We will be going for href="http://www.trustedtours.com/store/New-Orleans-C87.aspx">New Orleans Harbor Cruise. We had been searching for great price last night and luckily we’ve found a great web site that offers great prizes at Trusted Tours & Attractions, the site where you can get an easy and safe online ticketing for numerous sightseeing tours, attractions and museums.
Can you believe you can get a two-hour href="http://www.trustedtours.com/store/New-Orleans-C87.aspx">New Orleans Harbor Cruise below 20 bucks? Not bad huh. Going to San Diego zoo is also one of our choice so we need more talk and choose or maybe both?

Spanish Wells
I am so enchanted with this beautiful picture of Bahamas Island, a place in Caribbean. Oh my gosh when will be the time I could go have a Caribbean Cruise? Hum who knows, it doesn’t matter if it is sooner or later, as long as I can set my footsteps on this place and enjoy the blue sea clear water. This picture is courtesy of a friend who are currently traveling in the beautiful Island of Bahamas.
She told me that the sun, sand and sea of the Bahamas is truly amazing and beautiful. This is one of a tropical vacation destination that most tourists would love to go for there are so many endless exciting attractions and adventures everyone could do in this place which is located on the south east coast of Florida. It said that Bahamas is made up of more than 700 islands. Wows wish I could visit at least half of it.

Katibawasan Falls
When I was a kid, we always go to Camiguin Island for a vacation. It's fun fun because we go there on the month of April every year that is also the "Fiesta" in Mambajao where my grandpa was born and raised. Up to now he still have his property in their planted with Lanzones which so close to the beach. Probably just 30 to 100 steps not super accurate but it's really pretty close to the beach. Camiguin is the most wonderful place I have ever been in my entire life. There are great natural views that are really enchanting, fascinating and beautiful.
The picture attached is one of the great tourist spots in Camiguin Island. It is called "Katibawasa Falls". So pretty isn't it?

Little Changes
This is just a simple announcement to all my friends and visitors. I have made some changes on this blog. Before, this blog was mostly about Filipino foods, American foods and other different types of food. But since I am posting adds and sponsorships on this blogs, I find it not harder to find some other recipes that I haven't posted on the sidebars. So I came up to an idea of making another Food Blog that's purely about Food, recipes, and cooking. It looks nicer for there are no sponsorships or add on it.... Now, the categories of this blog will be wider as I am going to tackle about different things aside from food. I will stretch more on Filipino and American relationships, Philippines and American beautiful places and more. S

Come and Join Dark Sky Festival
There is something that I love and admire so much about the beauty of darkness at night. I just love going outside the house and look up at the sky where there are so many shining stars. Yes I have been enjoying the beauty of stars since I was a kid. It amazes me on how they look like, so bright, shining or twinkling stars especially when they are grouping together and showed different forms.
But due to our very high technology, people have use artificial lights at night that ruined the beauty of stars. I miss the time when I was a kid where you can see so many stars but now no more because of all the artificial light at night.
That’s why when I heard and saw about Dark Sky Festival, I went to the web site of Dark Sky Festival right away and read about more details about the festival. I got interested about this festival as it is intended to promote the benefits of a night-sky free from the effects of excessive artificial lighting.
So guys lest all show our care and be part of the solution stop light pollution. Join the 5th Annual Dark Sky Festival on April 5, 2008 at 7pm. in Harmony's Town Square. This is free and open to everyone.
For more information, please visit www.DarkSkyFestival.com or call 407-891-8358.

Banana
I grew up in a tropical country where most bananas grows. There are different kinds, colors and names of Banana. There are red banana, yellow, green, and orange. The one that I love most is what we called "Tonton or Latondan". Bananas are one of our best sources of potassium, an esssential mineral for maintaining normal blood pressure and heart function. It's also good for our eyes and for improving Elimination. It also build better Bones and reduce the risk of having Kidney Cancer.

Achara
This is my first time in my life I tried to make Achara. I grew up seeing my mother cook and sale it to our store in the market. But since I don't have my mother with me and I craved for it when I saw a raw papaya in Asian market I decided to grab one. Gosh the papaya I bought has been sitting on the fridge for weeks but glad it's still ok. When I called in the Philippines yesterday, my sister asked me if I made it already and. I checked all my ingredients after we talked and start shredding the papaya and prepared all the things I needed.
Ingredients:
1 Shredded Papaya
2 carrots
3 cups Vinegar
2 Gingers
1 Red bell pepper
1 Green bell pepper
3 Onions
1 tsp Freshly ground pepper
1 cup Sugar
1 tsp Salt
How To:
1. On a big deep skillet, boil a vinegar then add sugar, salt, and ginger. After few minutes, add the carrots, onion and let it simmer for at least 3 minutes.
2. Add the shredded papaya and let it simmer again for another few minutes then add the bell pepper. Add Freshly ground pepper, taste it and add sugar if you think it's needed.
