Filipino Are Truly Amazing

It is truly amazing to see my other "kababayan" who continuously uplift the pride of our country “Philippines”. Despite of our bad economy in our country, Filipino people never stop to entertain and smile big like they don’t have any worries. We are not only talking about one or two Filipino people who made names outside the country and bringing home so much pride for the country. From Dr. Jose Rizal who did contributed so much things in our history and freedom no matter what country he were... We have Pacman in the field of boxing sports who remains unbeatable. We also have Lea Salonga in Miss Saigon, Ramiel Malubay in American Idol, Martin Nievera, Lani Mesalucha and now Charice Pempengco who was discovered in YouTube and now guesting in different American and Europe TV shows like Ellen, Paul O' Grady Show and Oprah. Wath her video below last April 08, 2008 at Paul O' Grady Show.

Living Like A King In The Philippines

Philippines is a nice country with rich natural resources that if only the government will use it for the Filipino instead of corrupting it, I am sure that Philippines will be as successful as other countries. Anyway the reason why I talk about my beloved country today is because of the article I read this morning.

A 60 year old American man said that he is living like a king in the Philippines because of the kindness of the people. Which I do agree because Filipino people are known from being very hospitable, friendly, respectful, and kind. He also said that his small income is a fortune in the Philippines. Why not? a $1,000 is equivalent to 56,000 pesos, those time when a dollar was 56 pesos which I am sure the time he wrote those article I read. But even now that the dollar depreciates, a thousand dollar is still a lot in the Philippines. It is 40,000 pesos right now if I am not mistaken.

As he continues, he said that in the states at fifty years old, he was treated like an old man which he admit he was. No one smiled at him and not many cared. Nor he smile back or cared. But with the surroundings in the Philippines that have friendly and with kind people, he felt there is little empathy and concern for others in Filipino people as he compared to the States, most western countries and even to some Asian countries.

American Version Of Bulo or Guna

I remember when I was in elementary grade, every morning our teachers would assign different pupils to some area. Some pupils will be assign on watering the plants, some on sweeping the the ground and some on cutting or taking off some grass using bulo or guna. Thanks goodness we don't have to do it here in America. It's more high tech because you are just going to use a mower..
